Mamadou Traoré is an Ivorian science journalist based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. He is particularly interested in subjects of scientific interest including education, health, agriculture and the environment/sustainable development. He has been editor-in-chief of the Central Desk of the Ivorian Press Agency (AIP) since 2014. Since 2017, Mr. Traoré has been the president of "Media for Science and Development", the first association bringing together science journalists in Côte d'Ivoire. Winner of the Special Ebony Prize for Best Press Agency Journalist in Côte d'Ivoire in 2019, he graduated from the English and Communication departments of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Abidjan, but also from the Institut of Communication Sciences and Techniques (ISTC-Polytechnique) of Abidjan. Also a consultant-trainer, Traoré Mamadou is a journalist very committed to popularizing science through the media. In his career, he has covered several major events in Côte d'Ivoire and around the world.
