Catherine is a science journalist and communications professional born and raised in Ireland and living in Brussels, Belgium. She is the current EUSJA delegate for the Irish Science and Technology Journalists Association.
She writes on a regular basis for Science Business, for the European Commission’s Horizon Magazine and for the European Science Communication Institute, mainly on EU research, marine biodiversity, sustainability, climate change and ecology.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science and a Masters in Journalism, and has been published by The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, The EU Observer, the European Parliament’s Newshound magazine, Science Calling, CORDIS News, The Ecologist and DeHavilland.
