Biography
Abdulrahman M. Abotaleb, is the Editor-in-chief at Yemen science network (https://yemenscience.net) and a consultant at Internews network (https://internews.org). He is also a freelancer writing for Yemen News Agency (http://saba.ye) and other media institutions. He was a science journalist in Yemen News Agency (SABA) from 2010 to 2019, the Vice President of Internet Society Yemen Chapter (ISOC-Yemen) from 2016 to 2019 and a consultant for the digital media in Yemen General Corporation for Radio & TV from 2010 to 2015. He has worked as an investigative journalist, scientific writer and correspondent of Arabic Agency for Science News, the E-Media assistant for the United Nation UNOPS office in Sanaa, and a translator in Yemen Center for Strategic and Consulting Studies (YCSCS) think tank as well as Yemen Today newspaper.
Abotaleb holds a Master degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Computer engineering and he has +800 hours of training courses in technology, media, management and advocacy.
Most of his articles written in Arabic & English focus on science, environment, health, population. His articles have been published in many local and regional publications. He covered and participated in many related events and conferences like:
Abotaleb is a member of World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ), founding member of the World Journalists Network – friends of China (WJN), founding member of Association of Investigative journalists in Yemen (TAQASSI), member of Arab Science Journalists Association (ASJA), member of Yemen Media Union (YMU), member of Arab Multistakeholder Advisors Group for Internet Governance (AMAG), member of Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in the Arab World (ANSA).
