Mrs. Mai Abo Al Saoud, Assistant Lecturer has been teaching at MSA since 2011. Al Saoud is the Vice President of Mass Communication in Summer Training Committee (STC). She teaches “Digital Media” and “Radio Production”. She has a field experience in scriptwriting for TV shows. Beside teaching, she studied digital storytelling online course at BBC and she obtained a training workshop by Arab Data Journalists’ Network (ADJN) and Info Times in data journalism at Goethe Institute. She obtained Mobile Journalism workshop by Mr. Abanoub Emad at MSA University in 2020. She is Huawei certified and has a certification of HCIA- Artificial Intelligence and recognized as Huawei certified academy instructor. she got a certificate of professional diploma in Health Journalism specializing in ethics of digital media from the American University in Cairo and Facebook Journalism Project. She got the Information Disorder and Disinformation course from Friedrich Naumann in 2022. She got a certificate of completion of Factchecking Self-paced course “Edit and Verify” Project from ARIJ/AFCN and Meta Journalism in 2023. She has successfully completed the Media Development course of Science and Health Journalism MOOC “Dalilak liloloum” from DW Akademie in 2023. She completed "Be Ambassador for Sustainable Development" program initiated by National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development - Ministry of Planning and Development in Egypt accredited by UNDESA in addition to "Climate Leadership" program supervised by Center of Excellence for Research and Applied Studies of Climate Change and Sustainable Development (C3SDNRC) in National Research Center accredited by UNFCCC. 

   Al Saoud published her Master thesis “Motives of Watching Drama Series Online among Egyptian Youth” in AJMCR 2019. Her research interests include digital media, web drama, climate change and global health. In the media, she has been interviewed by the Egyptian Gazette in 2016 regarding her thesis designated as the first to tackle web drama in the Arab world. Currently, she is finishing her PhD dissertation which is about climate change visual communication at Cairo University.
