Farhana Haque Nila is a multimedia journalist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with over 18 years of professional experience in television, print, and digital media. She currently works as a Senior Multimedia Journalist at sarabangla.net, where she focuses on stories related to human rights, environmental justice, political affairs, and social inequality.

Advocate for Press Freedom and Women Journalists In 2025, she was invited by UNESCO and ARTICLE 19 to speak at Press Freedom Gate 2025, addressing the safety, equality, and career security of women journalists in Bangladesh. Her commentary has also been featured on international platforms including: 

Her earlier roles include serving as a Senior Staff Reporter at News Now Bangla.com, a Freedom of Expression Monitor Officer at South Asia ARTICLE 19  and a Senior Reporter at Mohona Television, where she spent nearly a decade covering politics, gender, and cultural issues.

She began her journalism career with the weekly magazine Generation Today and also contributed to the monthly Panjeree Shikha Shangbad. Her documentary research work includes contributions to Ashepasher Manush, a social documentary program aired on ATN Bangla.
