Ochieng’ Ogodo is a Nairobi-based consulting editor and a freelance science journalist. He is the former Sub-Saharan Africa English Edition regional coordinator and editor for the UK-headquartered Science and Development Network [SciDev.Net] - an online media house with strong focus on news, views, analysis and information about science, technology, innovation and development on the developing world.
He is a member of the Executive Board of the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ), a body committed to developing awareness of science journalism globally by building the capacity of media professionals to undertake engaging, incisive, accurate, impartial, high quality science journalism.
His science journalism milestones include being the Winner of the English-Speaking Africa and the Middle East region for the 2008 Reuters/IUCN Media Awards in Excellence in Environmental Reporting.
