Saad is the Co-founder and CEO of SciComm X. He is an accomplished science editor and communication expert with a remarkable track record of success.

 

Prior to launching SciComm X, Saad served as the Editor in Chief for the Arabic version of Popular Science Magazine. During his tenure, he led a successful digital transformation of the magazine, resulting in a 10X increase in readership within one year.

 

Saad is also a renowned science reporter with an impressive portfolio of published work for top-tier regional and international outlets, such as Scientific American, SciDev.Net, HuffPost, and more.

 

Saad is a co-founder of several leading initiatives that advance science communication, including the Science Journalism Forum, which is the largest virtual event for science journalists, the Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication, which brings together over 500 science journalists and communicators from the Arab countries, and Arab Science Week, which is the largest celebration of science and technology in the Arab region, attracting more than 30,000 attendees. He is also behind the digital magazine Scientific Arab, which communicates science and technology to Arab audiences.

 

Moreover, Saad worked as a science communication consultant for various organizations, including the Goethe Institute, AFRICA 21, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Egypt, and Africa 21. He was among the founding members of the Science Communication Network Program by ASRT.

 

Saad holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in Dental Medicine from Alazhar University in Egypt.
