SJAI Conference 2023

The Science Journalists Association of India (SJAI) is delighted to announce its inaugural conference – a one-of-its kind symposium bringing together science journalists, communicators, scientists, technologists and policymakers with a shared purpose:

To shape the future of science journalism in India.

We invite journalists, communicators, students, scientists and researchers to join us this November and become a part of a crucial conduit that brings together the intricacies of science and the curiosity of the public.

Themed around “Strengthening Science Journalism in India” – the conference will feature keynote talks, panel discussions, workshops, listening booths and networking sessions.

Through these events, we aim to discuss emerging trends in science journalism, provide a platform for communicators to network, share best practices, build their skills and engage with other important players such as scientists, policy makers and science engagement practitioners.

Dates: 24th and 25th November, 2023
Venue: Indian National Sciences Academy, New Delhi

How Can I Participate?

-Application form

Fill in the conference registration form.
Deadline: 11th September, 2023.
Please note: The conference is free to attend.

-Shortlisting of Applications

Based on the responses in the application form, the Conference Organizers will shortlist potential participants.

-Invitations to Shortlisted Participants

The Conference Organizers shall send invitations to the shortlisted applicants by 18th September 2023.

-Confirmation of Attendance

Shortlisted participants to confirm their attendance for the conference, via email.
SJAI shall make travel and accommodation arrangements for all conference participants.
